Fresh homemade curly fries on a week day night just hit different am I right?! I harvested these potatoes from the garden and really wanted to use them in a creative way and these curly fries did not disappoint!

Guys go find that spiralizer that you have tucked away in a drawer from when you were trying to eat low carb, or is that just me? Any who- carbs are life so today we are making these delectable crispy, golden to perfection curly fries right at home. Topped with a little parmesan and parsley- craving some right about now! Dip- well that can be what ever your taste buds are craving BUT let me tell ya, this wanna be chipotle aioli sauce is easy to whip up in minutes and is the perfect dipping side. If you want something bold and smoky with tons of flavor! I say its wanna be because I cheated and used my favorite ready made chipotle sauce and just mixed it with mayo! Shhhhh….

If you don’t own a veggie spiralizer let me tell you its one of the gadgets that is worth having around! It makes the just the right spirals for these curly fries. The thickness is perfect and it beats chopping and slicing potatoes. Know days you can find really inexpensive ones- and just know there is more options than just zucchini noodles. Nothing against zucchini noodles they are delish but today we make fries!

Homemade curly fries

Fresh homemade curly fries delectable crispy, golden to perfection! Topped with a little parm cheese and chopped parsley!

Equipment

  • Veggie spiralizer

Ingredients
  

  • 1/3 cup All purpose flour
  • 5 whole Potatoes Medium size
  • 2 tsp Paprika powder
  • 1/2 tsp Cayenne chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Himalayan salt
  • 1 1/2-2 cups olive oil for frying
  • 2 tbsp Parmesan cheese for garnish
  • 2 sprinkle Parsley chopped

Instructions
 

  • Begin spiralizing potatoes and setting them into a big bowl
  • Mix together paprika, cayenne, garlic powder and salt
  • Add spice blend to flour and mix well
  • Coat potato spirals thoroughly with the flour mixture
  • Bring your oil to frying temperature
  • Begin adding potato spirals to hot oil. With the help of some tongs help drop to form the desired curly shape. Cook on both sides until golden and lay on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
  • Garnish is totally optional but adds a lot of flavor, sprinkle parmesan cheese and chopped parsley and its ready to serve with sauce of your choice!
  • For "chipotle aioli" I mixed 4 tablespoons Tia Lupita chipotle sauce with 1/2 c mayo
